Austin has its own grant for a home EV charger: it covers purchase and installation by an RBQ-licensed electrical contractor, at a primary or secondary residence. It adds to Québec’s charger grant. We install the charger and its circuit and give you a detailed invoice for your applications.
A chalet built for a few weekends a year doesn’t always have the panel for a hot tub, a heat pump and a charger at the same time. The load calculation tells. Depending on the result: an added circuit, load management or a 200 A upgrade.

The Municipality of Austin refunds the purchase and installation of a Level 2 charger by an RBQ-licensed electrical contractor, up to $150, at a primary or secondary residence. Annual budget of $1,500.

Austin has no municipal power network: the utility is Hydro-Québec. In the Eastern Townships, only Sherbrooke (in part of its territory), Magog and Coaticook have their own network.
