What is particular to Coaticook is its municipal power network, Hydro-Coaticook. The town says it plainly: before restoring power or requesting a connection, you must consult a master electrician. A connection with Hydro-Coaticook

According to the town, the master electrician assesses the installation, does the work and, if service was cut at the meter or the pole, asks Hydro-Coaticook to restore it. For a 200 A upgrade, a new mast or new construction, we prepare the request with you and coordinate the work day with the municipal network.

A home charger: two grants that add up

The Town of Coaticook refunds the purchase and installation of a charger by a master electrician, up to $250. It adds to Québec’s charger grant. We install the charger and its circuit and give you a detailed invoice for your applications.

Frequently asked questions

My power was cut at the meter: who do I call?
According to the town, you first need a master electrician: they check the installation, make the repairs and ask Hydro-Coaticook to restore service. Call us during business hours to schedule the visit; if there is danger, dial 911.
Can I get both the town’s and Québec’s grants for a charger?
Yes, they are two separate programs: up to $250 from the town and $600 from Québec for the charger, each with its own conditions. You apply yourself; we give you the invoices and proof of installation.
Am I eligible for LogisVert with Hydro-Coaticook?
Yes, according to the program guide: homes supplied by a municipal network are eligible. Each measure’s conditions apply.
Do you work on commercial and industrial buildings?
Yes: panels, distribution, lighting, chargers for staff or customers, with planned shutoffs.
