For a new house, we plan the service entrance with you from the drawings: overhead or underground, mast or pedestal location, room in the panel for a hot tub, a charger and a heat pump. We file the connection request with Hydro-Québec and coordinate with your general contractor.
A hot tub and an EV charger are two large loads that can run at the same time in the evening. The load calculation tells whether the panel is enough; if not, a charger with load management or a 200 A upgrade settles it.
