I want to charge faster than with the garage outlet
A regular 120 V outlet charges slowly. A level 2 charger on a dedicated 240 V circuit fills up overnight. We install the circuit, the breaker and the charger, indoors or outdoors.

The cases we see most often, and what we do.
A regular 120 V outlet charges slowly. A level 2 charger on a dedicated 240 V circuit fills up overnight. We install the circuit, the breaker and the charger, indoors or outdoors.
The load calculation tells: sometimes the panel is enough; sometimes load management (the charger slows down when the house draws more) avoids changing everything; sometimes you need a sub-panel or a 200 A upgrade. You know your options before buying the charger.
Cable through the basement, conduit along the wall or a trench to a post: we plan the shortest, cleanest route. Outside, the charger and wiring are chosen for winter.
Two chargers, one dual-cable charger or load management that shares the current: the right answer depends on your panel and your driving. We plan for the second one even if it comes later.
Board approval, the unit’s meter or a shared meter, wiring through common areas: every building is different. We assess it with you and, if needed, with the board.

Where would the charger go?
How far from the electrical panel?
It affects the length of cable and the work involved.
Your electrical service amperage?
It is printed on the main breaker, at the top of the panel.
Your main heating?
Is there free space in the panel?
A level 2 charger needs a 240 V circuit, so room for a double breaker.
Your charger?

Pick your electric car: we calculate the cost of charging at Hydro-Québec’s rate, what you save compared with gasoline, and how fast your charger pays for itself.
Adjust it: the consumption is on your car’s spec sheet or in the Fuel Consumption Guide.
1.922 $/L: average price in the Eastern Townships, week of October 12, 2026 (Régie de l’énergie). Change it if needed.
Optional: the amount of your quote, for the return on investment.
Pick your car: the result appears here.
The price depends on the rest of your consumption: the home’s first 40 kWh per day cost 7.065¢, the rest 11.142¢ (Hydro-Québec Rate D, April 1, 2026).
Calculated at Hydro-Québec’s rate. Hydro-Sherbrooke, Hydro-Magog and Hydro-Coaticook have their own rates: your bill shows your prices.

Charging current = power ÷ 240 V. The breaker and wires are sized according to the Code, from this current and what your electrical service can supply: we do it during the estimate. Is your service big enough? The load calculation tells you.
