Your situation

The cases we see most often, and what we do.

My panel still has fuses

Fuse panels are often decades old and short on room for new circuits; some insurers ask for them to be replaced. We check the panel, the service entrance and the available capacity, then propose a breaker panel, with a 200 A upgrade if the load calculation calls for it.

I’m adding a charger, a heat pump or an induction cooktop

Every new appliance adds load. We do the load calculation and look at the free space and the service amperage. Depending on the result: one added circuit, a sub-panel or a 200 A upgrade.

Breakers trip often

A tripping breaker is doing its job: it signals an overload or a fault. The panel is not always the cause. We check the affected circuits and appliances, then fix the cause.

My insurer or an inspector requires it

Bring us the letter or report: the quote answers it point by point, and you get the documents to hand in once the work is done.

I’m renovating or adding on

It’s the best time: the walls are open and the new circuits are planned at once, with a panel upgrade if needed.

« Super service de William. Il répond rapidement aux demandes et prend le temps de bien expliquer les choix aux clients. Ils se sont présenté à l’heure déterminée et le résultat du travail est clean. Ils ont pris le temps de tout tester avant de partir. Sa plate-forme d’envoi de photo pour estimation et facturation est super simple d’utilisation aussi. Bref, je recommande assurément. »

Frequently asked questions

Is my 100 A panel enough for an EV charger?

Not always. The load calculation tells: sometimes the panel is enough, sometimes you need load management, a sub-panel or a 200 A upgrade.

How do I read my panel’s amperage?

Open only the small panel door and read the number on the large main breaker, often at the top. Never remove the inner cover.

Will the power be off during the work?

Yes, during the replacement. When the service changes, the shutoff and reconnection are coordinated with your utility. We explain ahead of time how the day will go.

Which panel brands do you install?

Mostly Siemens, Schneider Electric (Square D) and Eaton, depending on the project.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Only for large projects. It is stated in the quote.

Who does the work?

The LTE Électrique team, a family business of 6 people led by William Letendre, third-generation master electrician and CMEQ member (RBQ licence 5874-5597-01). Our electricians average more than 10 years of experience and have more than 1,500 jobs behind them.
